Hi, I’m Jan,
As a Registered Social Worker, I am committed to offering a safe and nurturing space for women 16+ and couples from all walks of life on their journey towards self-discovery, emotional regulation, personal growth and healing and the confidence that allows them to live their best life.
My work with you is grounded in evidence-based approaches, drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gottman Method, Trust-based Relational Intervention (TBRI), trauma-informed care and mindfulness-based practices. I integrate psycho-education, grief care, gentle somatic movement, and mind-body awareness to support nervous system regulation, emotional healing, and personal growth.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy the outdoors, taking short road trips and long walks with my ten year old pup, spending time with my family and in community at my church and when I can, traveling overseas.

Meet Tadashi, Therapy Dog-in-Training, CAB
He hasn’t been in practice as long as me but has become very successful in providing support, comfort and even comic relief when necessary. His credentials are CAB - Cute as A Button. Don’t you agree?
Tadashi is a 10 year old, toothless therapy dog-in-training and is likely so good at what he does because he had his own rough start to life. He understands pain and heartache well and has overcome insurmountable obstacles to be who he is today.
Tadashi is a non-shedding, hypo-allergenic toy poodle weighing in at 3 kg. He will be as involved as you want him to be but just as happy sleeping the day away.
